No more tears!

Every cook has experienced the crying that comes from working with onions in the kitchen. As soon as the knife cuts into the pungent onion, our human eyes begin to water and the floodgates open.

Did you know the energy for that familiar pattern can be cleared? It is so fun to cook without the tears, while recognizing how amazing energy work is! I am constantly amazed that my previous problem of tears in the kitchen is no longer an issue for me - all because of a simple energy release and affirmation.

If energy work can release my association with tears and onions, imagine what it can do in other more important areas of your life! Energy is everywhere and when we know how to work with the natural laws that are energy-based, life is experienced in new ways. We no longer react to those little bumps, we release the feeling of being stuck, and we are free to create our best lives. My knowledge of energy has released patterns and tendencies that have been passed on through my ancestors, as well as the false beliefs and patterns I developed on conscious and sub-conscious levels. Energy releases free us and allow us to feel whole. It's a good feeling and I love to help my clients enjoy that level of peace and balance.

So small.

Friday morning I found myself on an east-bound flight and had the thought to look out the window. I quickly looked out the window and I realized how close I am to the coast and felt grateful. A quick thought came and I was impressed how short this life really is. I realized that if God could create oceans and land and everything that live in both, he can certainly take care of me and mine.

As I viewed the vastness of San Diego, I knew that my little house is one of the smallest parts of this place we call home. Can you see my house? I know, it is hard to find since it is so small. It really is just a little dot in the landscape. What if our time and experiences on this earth are as small as my house in the grand scheme of things? And then I knew that it is really true that this life is just a small part of the eternal plan.

I know the Lord told us and the Prophet Joseph Smith, "Peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment," but on that plane ride I caught a glimpse of just what He meant. I think this is what they call the eternal perspective and it makes me grateful for the gospel that teaches us these truths.

Affirmation to try: I maintain an eternal perspective throughout my day as I experience all that life has to offer.

***If you have found that life is feeling tiresome and if you are finding it difficult to maintain an eternal perspective, please consider scheduling an energy session. Clearing your energy brings a sense of balance and opens your ability to handle and enjoy life.***

Solving problems.

"It is in the whole process of meeting and solving problems that life has meaning. Problems are the cutting edge that distinguishes between success and failure. Problems call forth our courage and our wisdom; indeed, they create our courage and our wisdom. It is only because of problems that we grow mentally and spiritually. It is through the pain of confronting and resolving problems that we learn." --M. Scott Peck, M.D.

Challenges and problems are part of this life. Both are inevitable and each of us eventually have the opportunity to decide how we will deal with the challenges that come our way. Lately, I have had some challenges but I am grateful because I know that I grow through new experiences. Here are some affirmations to use when you find yourself facing a new challenge.
  • I am courageous.
  • I am wise.
  • I use my courage and wisdom to create solutions.
  • I am teachable.
  • I am growing spiritually and mentally.
  • I am patient.
  • I am grateful for the opportunity to learn more about myself and develop new strengths.
  • I am creating a better future.
  • I am a problem solver.
  • I have all the talents and resources I need to resolve this challenge today.
  • I am open to learning and growing.
  • I am happy to have experiences that allow me to grow and develop into my best self.
  • I rise to meet life's challenges.
